WHO ARE WE?

We are a research group that
utilize geochemical techniques
to study climate and environmental
change, mass extinctions,
oxygen minimum zones,
organic carbon deposition, and archaeology.

Our research group is a part of the Department of Geology at Kent State University. We are a very diverse group and support each other in using geochemical techniques in innovative ways.
We aim to be a safe space for all individuals who want to do awesome science.  And continue to fight for inclusiveness within the environmental, earth, and ocean sciences.

We go to cool places!

We do research in exciting places!

We do both field and laboratory work!

Our research encompasses both field expertise in terrestrial and aquatic environments along with analytical instrumentation to assess the research questions we strive to answer.
